Introduction of Marine Transmission

D-I Marine transmission

The D-I marine transmission is the power-transmitting unit which transmits the power generated from Engine to Propeller.
The main functions are the ahead, neutral, astern and reduction of speed at fixed rate. The marine transmission has the structure which can safely endure the power generated by propeller’s propulsion.

Structure Of The Model Name

D-I Technology for Marine transmission

Compact design : small and light appearance.

Robust design with durable frictions, oil seals, bearing

Permanent metal oil filter(No consumable part except for zinc anode)

Same ratio in ahead, astern(suitable for twin engines)

Customization ability

Detachable bell housing type to unable replacement fit to engine flywheels.

Easy maintenance from the structure to replace pinion without removing gearbox from the engine.

How to select Transmission

1. Check the maximum output torque. Refer to engine performance below.

※ You should convert Kgf.m, if you use different torque unit.

2. Select transmission which has higher or same as the maximum output torque of engine.

Refer to our catalog or website.

Transmission input torque(kg.m) ≥ Engine output torque(kg.m)

3. Select Reduction Ratio

4. Check engine flywheel to attach transmission to engine.

And then select bell housing corresponding to engine flywheel(SAE)

1Hp = 0.7457Kw

Torque(kgf.m) = 716.2 X HP/rpm
